Woven Art: Jajim

A handmade flat-woven textile composed of colorful natural fibers. Jajims are tribal and woven in rural areas. These were made in narrow strips and were traditionally used for table covers, bed covers, tents and ceremonial panels. Jajims are collectible as small pieces of textile art, often made into pillows or wall hangings.
